Mincha @ the courthouse

Once, Karl was in the middle of a case and it was nearing the end of the court day. There was a lot going on in the court room and out of nowhere he asked for a ten minute recess. The judge (& everyone else) looked at him like he was out of his mind. The judge said, "And Mr. Goodman, why do you need a ten minute recess when we are ending in a few minutes anyway?" Karl simply replied, "Your Honor, it's the winter and it gets dark early and I need to daven mincha!" The judge thought for a second and replied, "Ten minute recess AND you can use my office!"
